Ethan = no training wheels

I missed it since I am in Destin but Ethan rode his bike for the first time without training wheels today!

Heading to Destin...

...for the 15th annual DSFFL Auction & Draft weekend. I picked up Andy and Ryan in Tallahassee and then we missed our exit off I-10 to Destin. We ended up going a good bit out of our way. I guess I should have plugged the rental address in the navigation system. We ate lunch at Lillie's on Pigs Alley. According to their web site they have won the coveted Memphis in May Barbeque competition.

Ashlyn finally made it to school

After missing days 1 and 2, Ashlyn made it to school today. She is very ready to start 2nd grade.

School Starts Today...And Doesn't

Ethan attended his first day of kindergarten today. He had a good day. Gina and I took him to class for the first time. As for Ashlyn she didn't make it to school because she was sick. And she was not happy about missing.

Playoff Basketball

Disappointing early exit from the playoffs as we lost our game. Although I would not have been there for the semis and finals next week, I still wanted to win.

Ashlyn & Ethan's Birthday Party

The kids had a combined party again this year and once again had their friends bring shoeboxes for the City Rescue Mission instead of presents. We had the party at our friends Von and Bambi's neighborhood pool. We had pizza from Little Caesar's and cake. The weather was sketchy and was raining while we were driving there but cleared up as soon as we put up the canopy.

School Orientation

We attended kindergarten and 2nd grade orientation today.

Basketball Game

We won tonight against the #1 and previously undefeated team although their best player was not there. The regular season is over. We are the #3 seed out of 12 teams; for the playoffs. We went 6-2.

New Room Color

Ashlyn picked the new color for her room. It will be Sassy Lilac and we are keeping a border/design along the top of her current room color, Butter Up.

Registered for kindergarten

Ethan registered for kindergarten today. While there Gina had his teacher switched to Mrs. Sanford. Mrs. Sanford was Ashlyn's kindergarten teacher.
